High Dollar Motorsports will back Trucks at Harvest Havoc
WATERLOO, NY -- In an effort to boost entries for the Truck Division, High Dollar Motorsports has joined on as a presenting sponsor for SM Derby Duplicates' Harvest Havoc 2010, presented by MGM Derby Products and Slider Drive Shafts.
High Dollar Motorsports has put up $25 for the Outlaw Truck Class, but will not be personally involved in the judging process.
"You know, like Metal Mayhem or Spring Explosion, when you put the big prizes out there, you get the best turnout," said-long time builder Ryan Satterfield, a rep from High Dollar Motorsports. "So why not put something big out there and get every truck builder out there to take a swing."
Entry lists for the trucks continue to grow, and estimates have between 8-12 trucks coming out of the wood work for their leg of Harvest Havoc 2010, Presented by MGM Slider Shafts.
"We're happy as hell," said SM Derby Duplicates co-founder Chris Marquart. "This is a prize out of their pocket, and it's a generous move to help jumpstart a fairly new class in model derbying."
The MGM Harvest Havoc team event will consist of three cars, built by one, two or three artists and can be of any make, model or year (provided they fit the full-size bill). Other classes include Enduros, Compacts and Outlaw Trucks.
Images of cars will be due by 11:59 pm September 30. Results are expected to be complete by October 2-3. Two New York-based derby drivers have been tabbed to help judge, results coincides with their availability.
The hunt for sponsors continues, and announcements regarding sponsors, partners, rules and classes will be made in the coming weeks.
